Colpasso is a range of quality southern Italian wines made with indigenous grape varieties.
With Colpasso, our aim is to bring traditional styles of Italian wines to the international market place – a genuine taste of Italy. We do this by using totally modern winemaking techniques to bring out every nuance of the grape variety.
The brand name Colpasso derives from ‘Colle’, meaning “hill”, and ‘Passo’ which means “step”. So literally speaking: "a step on the hill".
The design for Colpasso is based on the typical Mosaïc tiles that you see so often in Sicily. For us, the design signifies a step up in quality. This ‘step up’ is sympolised by the typical tiled steps outside many Sicilian houses, whose timeless design inspired the label design.
